A Mini Manicure is a shorter, more basic version of a traditional manicure. It usually focuses on the essential steps without the extra pampering or treatments you might find in a full manicure or Spa Manicure. Here’s what typically happens in a mini manicure:
- Nail trimming and shaping: Your nails are cut and filed to your preferred shape.
- Cuticle care: Cuticles are gently pushed back and trimmed if needed.
- Polish application: A coat of polish is applied to finish the look.
Since a mini manicure is more streamlined, it doesn’t usually include extended soaking, exfoliation, or massages. It’s perfect if you’re short on time but still want neat, polished nails.
Spa Manicure
A Spa Manicure is a more luxurious version of the traditional manicure, designed to provide relaxation and extra care for your hands and nails. It typically includes all the steps of a regular manicure (like nail trimming, shaping, and cuticle care), but with additional treatments like:
- Soothing soak: Your hands are soaked in warm water to soften skin and nails.
- Exfoliation: Scrubs or exfoliating treatments are used to remove dead skin cells, leaving your hands feeling smooth.
- Massage: A hand massage with moisturizing lotion or oils to help relax muscles and hydrate the skin.
- Hydrating mask: A hydrating mask is applied to nourish and soften the skin even more.
- Polish or treatment: As with a regular manicure, nails are usually finished with a polish of your choice or a special treatment like strengthening or moisturizing nail care.
The focus is as much on pampering and relaxation as it is on nail care. It’s a great way to unwind while getting your nails done!
Mini Pedicure
A Mini Pedicure is a simplified version of a regular pedicure, focusing on the basic steps of foot care without the extra treatments. It’s a quick and efficient way to freshen up your feet and nails. Here’s what typically happens in a mini pedicure:
- Nail trimming and shaping: Your toenails are cut and filed into your desired shape.
- Cuticle care: The cuticles are pushed back or gently trimmed if needed.
- Polish: A coat of polish is applied to your toenails to finish the look.
A mini pedicure generally skips the extra steps like exfoliation, foot massage, or deep hydration, making it a quicker option for when you’re in a hurry but still want clean, polished nails.
Spa Pedicure
A Spa Pedicure is a more luxurious and relaxing version of a traditional pedicure, designed to give your feet extra care and pampering. It typically includes the same basic steps as a regular pedicure but with additional treatments to help you unwind and rejuvenate. Here’s what you can expect:
- Soothing soak: Your feet are soaked in warm water to soften the skin and nails.
- Exfoliation: Scrubs are used to remove dead skin, focusing on rough areas like the heels and soles.
- Callus removal: Any calluses or tough skin are gently removed for a smoother feel.
- Foot massage: A relaxing massage using lotions or oils to help relieve tension and hydrate the skin.
- Hydrating mask: A hydrating foot mask is applied to nourish and soften the skin.
- Nail care: Nails are trimmed, shaped, and cuticles are treated.
- Polish: Your toenails are finished with a polish of your choice.
The Spa Pedicure is all about relaxation, so it often feels like a mini getaway while also giving your feet the attention they need. Perfect for unwinding and leaving your feet feeling pampered!
Paraffin Dip
A Paraffin Dip is a soothing and moisturizing treatment often included in manicures (and pedicures) to hydrate and soften the skin, especially the hands. It involves coating your hands (or feet) with warm, melted paraffin wax, which has been heated to a comfortable temperature. The wax coats your skin, creating a barrier that locks in moisture.
Here’s how a paraffin dip typically works:
- Prep: Your hands are cleaned.
- Paraffin Dip: Your hands are coated with the warm, melted paraffin wax (usually a few times) to build up a thick layer of wax around your fingers and palms.
- Wrap: After the wax is applied, your hands are wrapped in plastic to retain heat and allow the wax to set. The warmth helps to open up pores and allows deeper moisture absorption.
- Removal: After a few minutes, the wax is peeled off, taking any dead skin cells with it, and leaving your hands feeling soft, smooth, and deeply moisturized.
The paraffin dip is a great addition to a manicure or a pedicure, especially for dry or rough hands or feet, as it provides both relaxation and intense moisture. It can be included in Spa Manicures or Pedicures as an extra add on.
Callus Peel
A Callus Removal treatment is a specialized procedure designed to smooth out and remove tough, thickened skin, often found on the heels or the balls of the feet. Calluses form from friction or pressure over time, and while they are not harmful, they can be uncomfortable or unsightly.
Callus removal treatments help restore smoothness to the feet, reduce discomfort, and prevent further buildup of thickened skin. Callus peel is naturally included in a Spa Pedicure, but it can be booked as a stand-alone treatment too.
